Nov 1-14, dry in and framing finish, almost

House works proceed while while we bask in Edinburgh's midday sun (check those northern shadows!) on a visit to George, which included a US-style road trip of those wide UK backroads. Not! Not wide that is.

On return, the house is "dried in".

New-fangled underlayment used instead of tarpaper really makes a waterproof surface.
The south facing black plastic in the windows below gets toasty in the sun, our first indication that the passive solar will perform.
Upstairs interior framing is done: this view is looking from East bedroom through matching bathroom double doors into sunroom:

The next step is to get the "subs" in: plumber, electrician and roofer. We are ready for windows but they won't be here for another couple of weeks.
